Terms of Service for Wessan Legacies

Welcome to Wessan Legacies, a community memorial platform provided by Weatherill Essentials. By using our website and submitting content to our "Legacy Form," you agree to the following terms. This service is managed by our Ministerial Services Division with technical support from our Tech Division.

1. Description of Service

Wessan Legacies is a completely free digital memorial service. We provide a platform for families to post obituaries, biographies, and photos to honor their loved ones. We do not accept money, fees, or donations for this service.

2. Content Submission & User Responsibility

By submitting a memorial, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal right or explicit permission to share the stories, details, and obituaries provided.

• Photo Rights: You own the copyright or have obtained permission from the copyright holder to upload any images.

• Liability: Weatherill Essentials and Wessan Legacies are not responsible or liable for any unauthorized use of copyrighted material submitted by users.

• Flower Placeholder: If you choose not to upload a photo, or do not have the rights to one, Wessan Legacies will automatically display a respectful flower icon in its place.

3. Moderation and Right to Remove

To maintain the dignity of the platform, all submissions are reviewed by the Ministerial Services Division.

• We reserve the right to edit for clarity or refuse any submission that contains inappropriate, offensive, or verifiable false information.

• We reserve the right to remove any memorial at any time if a legitimate rights holder disputes the content.

4. Intellectual Property

By submitting content, you grant Weatherill Essentials a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the memorial publicly on the memorials.wessan.org website. You retain your original ownership of the content.

5. Copyright Disputes

If you believe that your work has been copied or used on Wessan Legacies in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us immediately at contact@memorials.wessan.org or via our website contact form. We take these matters seriously and will act promptly to resolve them.

6. Limitation of Liability

Wessan Legacies is provided "as is" without any warranties. While our Tech Division strives for 100% uptime, Weatherill Essentials is not liable for any technical interruptions, loss of data, or the accuracy of user-submitted content.

7. Changes to Terms

As Weatherill Essentials grows, we may update these terms. Any significant changes will be noted on the Wessan Legacies homepage.
